Springtime in KY

So, the boys and I took a trip out to see Oma and Opa while Dustin was studying for his final exams. We had a great time visiting them!

We also got to meet my brother Robby and his wife, Jenn's newest addition, Alyssa. They came all the way from St Louis with a 3 week old! She is beautiful and such a sweet baby. Aiden loved holding her and was very attentive and concerned about "Baby Awissa."

We also got to hit the racetrack in KY.  My aunts Mollie and Jane and Cousin Jordan drove up from Bowling Green and we all went to the track. Dad stayed home with Luke (who doesn't do well if he misses his naptime :) )

Here' s a few pics!

Aiden turns 3

5 Days Old...

3 Years Old...

I can't believe Aiden is 3! He turned 3 on March 5.  All he asked for was a "blue cake".  We got him a Diego cake with lots of BLUE icing.  He also asked for pizza for dinner. What a tough kid to please. :)

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Now, he's in preschool and telling me "Mom, I can do it myself!" He loves to wear his "Soldier" boots and put his own big boy underwear on every morning.  And, the kids loves to talk and express every thing he's feeling.  Lots of question. Lots.  He is such a good big brother and really tries to make Mommy and Daddy happy.

Happy Birthday, Aiden! We love you!

Okay, okay..

I know its been a long time since I've posted anything! I am going to be better. I promise!

Starting....NOW.

Godparents come to Cali

Uncle Robby and Aunt Jenn flew out on January 1st from Saint Louis. Jenn is 31 weeks pregnant--but didn't look a day over 15 weeks. She's so tiny! They both looked great and are so excited to be new parents--March 5th is the big day.

Jenn and Robby were also there for Lukie's baptism and served as godparents.  Oma and Opa were also there and Uncle Dick and Aunt Linda drove up from Pasadena.  It was a really nice ceremony.

Luke did pretty well. He was very good for the one hour of mass before the ceremony. He got a little fussy...and then screamed his head off when the water was poured over his head. The priest used an oyster shell--thought that was pretty cool as we live so close to the beach.

Dick and Linda were asked to be proxies for the other family baptizing their daughter. Who knew they would be godparents that day, too?

We all went out to the Fisherman's Wharf to celebrate that night. The boys got to take several rides on a red race car.

Oma and Opa visit!

Oma and Opa came to visit! We had a great time with them...going to the beach, wineries, and having lots of fun playing with the boys. The boys were spoiled!  The weather was beautiful and it was a great way to ring in the New Year.

Cousins!

Cousin Stephanie, Al, Emily and Jason were sweet enough to drive way out of their way to meet us in San Jose for lunch.  They were in from DC visiting Al's family in SF for 4 days...and spent some of it with us!

It was fun to see the kids meet and play. Em read Lukie stories and Aiden and Jason played video games together. Al and Julie compared broken foot stories. :)

Here are a few pics.
